With a new year starting and the end of January in sight, I thought I would start to do monthly favourites on my blog so obviously, I am going to start with my January favourites. This months favourites are going to include make-up and beauty products that I just cannot get enough of.
Basically, I have being going a bit OTT in the whole spending money department, but this also means that I have a few new products that I am going to introduce in my favourites.
My first monthly favourite is Benefit's Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer (Buy Here). I bought this in shade 01 Fair and it is £17.50 at the minute in Boots. I actually bought this online, so I was not entirely sure what it would look like or how the texture would be, or the colouring etc. When I received the package and tried the concealer I instantly loved it. The shade was perfect, and the coverage is definitely high coverage. The only negative I thought was that it is quite hard to apply as it is not very spreadable, however, if you warm in in your fingertips first it makes it much easier to apply. This is in my January favourites as it instantly covers any blemishes, and with going back to university/school/work, it does a great job of lightening the under-eye area.
My next January favourites was actually a gift and it is Love Alpha 3D Fibre Mascara (See Here). Just to make clear, I do not and would not use this mascara every day as it is a very dramatic look, but for a night out, or a special event, this mascara is amazing. You basically get a set of two mascaras; a transplanting gel and a natural fibres mascara. You apply a coat of the transplanting gel, a coat of fibres and then another coat of the transplanting gel to secure the fibres in place. You can do as many coats as you prefer, depending on how long you want your lashes to be. This mascara is an easy, no fuss, hassle-free way of beautiful lashes and basically replaces the look of false eyelashes with natural lashes. It also comes in a super handy and pretty leopard print case and instructions, so you will always be able to find the mascaras as they definitely stand out in my make-up drawers.

Another favourite, which is probably actually an all-time favourite rather than a monthly favourite is my Mac Mineralize SkinFinish Natural Powder in the shade Light (Buy Here). This is perfect for oily skin and it does a great job of keeping make-up in place and keeping oil a bay. The thing I love about this powder is that it does not feel heavy on the face, it does not leave a cakey finish to a look, and it does not dry out your skin at all. Definitely my go-to powder, and I can rely on this to leave a natural, oil-free finish.

My non-make-up favourite product this month is the Soap and Glory Drama Clean Micellar Cleansing Water. I have recently started to use a cleansing water before I wash my face just to make sure I have every bit of make-up removed properly. To use this I put some product on a cotton pad and swipe it over my face, eyes and lips. This does an AMAZING job at taking off all your makeup including stubborn lipstick and mascara. I particularly like the warning on the bottle which says 'avoid getting in your eyeballs, but should it all go awry, rinse with cool water until the darn stuff stops stinging'. It is suitable for all skin-types and I do not find that it makes my skin oily, which is always a plus! The cleanser smells like cucumber, so I think this leaves you smelling fresh, and clean which is everything that you want from a cleanser.
That is all for my January favourites, and I hope you have enjoyed my first favourites of the year. It'd be nice to know your opinions of these products, and even your January favourites so please leave your comments below!
